In today's world, almost everyone is travelling and seeing the world, if you scroll through your social media you will notice some of your friends travelling to new places almost every other day.

Travelling has become a part of people's lives and it is now not a luxury but it has become a necessity for some people.

Over the years with the help of advances in the technology of transportation, travelling has become quite a lot easier for people.

A few years back people would have never imagined that there would come a time when they could travel to faraway places in a few hours.

In those days travelling was seen as something very difficult as it would take people hours, days and even months to travel from one place to another.

But after the invention of aircraft, travelling became easier and now people can see different cultures and places in a matter of a few hours.

With the high demand for air travel, airplane companies have upgraded their aircraft to bigger units in order to accommodate more people.

In the past, there were mostly small aircraft that were used to fly people from one place to another but due to the increase in travel most aircraft companies have shifted to bigger aircraft.

Now small aircraft have become exotic and we see them very seldom after the invention of bigger aircraft.

And that is why now people have become used to travelling in big aircraft and due to this many myths have been created about small aircraft.

In this blog post, we will outline the top 2 common myths about small aircraft that you need to stop believing in.

Small Aircraft Are Outdated And Old

This is one of the biggest myths that has been created about small aircraft after the invention of large planes and is absolutely not true.

The size of the aircraft can never determine how new or old it is. The aircraft is purposely built smaller and has nothing to do with it being old or new.

Most people think that since small aircraft are an invention of the past they are no longer being manufactured but in reality, still many aircraft companies build small aircraft just like big airplanes.

The aircraft are purposely built smaller and bigger so that they can fulfill the purpose they are supposed to serve.

The majority of the aircraft are built smaller because they are destined to travel to small exotic islands where the runways are small. So you can't take big aircraft to such islands so in order to travel to such places, you will need a small plane.

Hence the size of the aircraft can never determine the condition of the aircraft, as there are many big planes that are more old and outdated than many small planes.

The Tickets Are Expensive

Another common misconception that people have about traveling in small planes is that their ticket is way more expensive than a big aircraft.

It is a very common notion that small aircraft are private flights and that is why they are more expensive but in reality, this is not always the case.

While it is true that the seat sales of large airplanes are higher than small aircraft, this does not mean that the fare for smaller aircraft is more expensive.

In most cases, the cost of small aircraft tickets is less than a larger airplane because a small aircraft does not need plenty of crew and fuel to operate.

Also, it is easier to maintain a small aircraft as compared to a larger commercial aircraft so the overall cost of flying in a small aircraft is cheaper than a larger aircraft.
